Maker Change & Woody.bio

We took part as Maker Change and Woody.bio in the 6th edition of the Trash Investigation Series: Organic Matters! Two full days, dedicated to creative exploration and hands-on fabrication using organic waste.

Today, approximately one third of all food produced worldwide is wasted. Food waste is not only a social or humanitarian issue: it is also an environmental one! Between 6% and 8% of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced if we stopped wasting food.

What was the event?

In response to this pressing issue, TransfoLab Barcelona invited professionals, educators, and research institutions to take part in an intensive two-day design challenge. The goal? To develop and build practical, innovative solutions using organic materials.

Organic Matters is part of the BioLaMer project, supported as an EIC Pathfinder project under the European Union’s Horizon Europe framework.

In parallel there was an exhibition of participants' work plus Squeeze de Orange, BIOMA, and B'Zeos and BioLaMer project.
