We have collaborated through our studios to put together an event on the circular economy and ways you can be a part of it! Come down for free workshops on making your own bioplastics, an exhibition of up-cycled objects, cooking with seasonal products and recipe books for all!
Our "Sustain" event is May 23rd, 2-5pm at the Urban Hub. It is open to the public - please save the date and come down to visit!
Science has made some incredible bio materials already, lead by our Science Expert Joel they really do resemble plastic. They have been learning methods of Kombucha leather and avocado seed bioplastic alongside using agar and cornstarch. Next test is from banana peels and from other fruits and veggies peels (which you would normally discard).
Cooking is going great, with our in house Expert Claudio. The learners have planted the seeds for seasonal veg, created the recycling and reuse system and are ready for reimagined recipes for all the season.
